How it’s all started...

In 2016 we wanted to launch an online portal to conduct mock tests. As you know, in order to succeed in this space, we should have great technology along with the quality content.

We had none.

We decided not to build the technology from the scratch as many solutions were already available. So, we searched the market for the best solutions available.

What we found thoroughly disappointed us.

Almost all the solutions are clumsy with terrible user experience. Test analysis is mostly a dull series of insight-poor tables, pie charts and bar charts. No sync between online and classroom. And, it’s one-size-fit-all approach which is a real deal breaker.

None of them had any imagination of how latest technologies can be used to personalize the learning experiences of students.

It was almost like a classic “Water, water, everywhere. But not a drop to drink“ scenario. We saw we couldn’t reach far in this new digital age by depending on these sub-par solutions.

Left with no option, we set on to build technology on our own. It’s not a problem though. We’re engineers at heart. And, we love building things.

That’s the beginning of the SmartMock.

We kept personalization, along with great design, as the driving force behind SmartMock. It’s personalization in learning, test analysis, engagement and mentorship. You can feel it throughout the product.

It took us nearly 2 years of development and iteration with the real client feedback to realize our vision and create something truly special.

Luckily, very soon we realized how difficult it is to create quality content for all these exams. On the other hand, we understood how much difference we could make just with technology.
